The server is now quite an old machine, by the standards of the IT world: it is a Compaq Presario laptop with 512MB of memory and an Athlon XP1800 processor. The operating system is Fedora Linux Core 4 with the Linux 2.6.15-1.1830_FC4 kernel. The web server software is Apache 2.0.50, the world's most popular web server. A few items on the web site are made with PHP4, especially the guest book. Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) were used to produce the links which change colour when you point the mouse at them. The Internet connection for the site has a bandwidth of 256kbps, which is more than enough for the light traffic which we get. This server also handles all mail addressed to asperger-marriage.info and slater-walker.net. It also hosts www.slater-walker.net.
